Men's Shoes Part 1

Happy Tuesday, Youvies!

If there is one thing you should know about us it's that we love shoes! But who doesn't right? Shoes are probably the one of the most essential parts of your wardrobe and since you've got to wear 'em, might as well keep it fresh! Let's get started!

Today is the first installment about shoes for our gentlemen:

Sneakers

Sneakers need no introduction. They're one of the main staples in casual fashion, but we're all mature, growing gents here right? Let's stay away from the bulky skate shoes we wore in middle school and opt for sneakers with a little more style. Brands like Nike, New Balance, and Puma offer more sophisticated sneakers that will keep your casual looks still put together. Sneakers, though, can be used to add some of your unique personality into your outfit. 

Here are some examples of sneakers and some outfit inspiration: 

Oxfords:

Oxfords are quite the versatile shoe that can easily go from a casual day of shopping to a night on the town with your boys. What ultimately determines which occasion to wear your oxfords is the material that they're made out of. Suede, or canvas oxfords for example are easily dressed down and integrated into your casual style.

Leather oxfords are typically paired with more formal wear and are for more formal occasions, like weddings, banquets, etc.

Brogues

Brogues are very similar to oxfords. The only real different is the detail (broguing) that is found on the shoes. Broguing is simply the small patterned perforations that are on the surface of the shoe.

There is a bit of history behind this detail, but now they just add another level of style and sophistication to the shoe. Just like oxfords, these can be both dressed up or down depending on the materials the shoe is made of.
